Alexander Haberbush, Esq.

Alexander is the Founder and President of the Lex Rex Institute and currently spearheads LRI’s involvement in constitutional jurisprudence.
He is experienced in constitutional litigation in federal and state appellate courts at all levels in extensive collaborations with a wide variety of legal and nonprofit organizations, including the Claremont Institute, Judicial Watch, the Election Integrity Project, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, and the American Center for Law and Justice.
In 2017, he worked successfully with Judicial Watch and the Election Integrity Project to secure the integrity of California’s voter rolls (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Dean Logan, 2017).

On behalf of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, Alexander successfully fought to overturn California’s FACT Act (NIFLA v. Becerra, 2018). He has also represented amicus curiae in cases before the Supreme Court, ranging from First Amendment defense to the defense of constitutional separation of powers in Gundry v. U.S., 2018. In his community, Alexander has a proven record in his position as Vice President of Operations for Equitable Transitions, Inc., and as an attorney at the law firm Haberbush, LLP, of helping struggling small and medium sized businesses to remain open and forge paths forward. He is available for legal representation in constitutional matters and speaking engagements on all aspects of the Constitution’s meaning, history, and legal application. Alexander also has a passion for imparting the ideals of constitutional government to our posterity and, to that end, is available for virtual and in-person presentations on the continuing relevance of the Constitution to American public life.

Lane Bogard was raised in Orange County, California but attended college in Indiana. From there she returned to Southern California for law school and graduated magna cum laude of her class at Whittier Law School in 2015. Lane has been practicing law as an associate at Haberbush, LLP in Long Beach, California since 2015. Her practice is focused on bankruptcy, insolvency, and debtor/creditor relationships and litigation. In addition, she is actively involved with the Long Beach legal community. She has been a member of the Ball/Hunt/Schooley American Inn of Court since 2015 and is currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee. In her free time she also enjoys researching and publishing articles on a variety of topics. Lane is currently raising her family in Nashville, Tennessee.

Vanessa M. Haberbush is a Long Beach native and graduated summa cum laude from Biola University. Graduating as valedictorian of her class at Whittier Law School in 2012, Vanessa has been practicing law in Long Beach ever since. Her practice is focused on bankruptcy, insolvency, and debtor/creditor relationships and litigation. She has successfully represented a broad spectrum of debtors and creditors in reorganization and liquidation proceedings, including the successful confirmation of several Chapter 11 plans of reorganization. She also appears before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. In 2020, Vanessa became a partner of Haberbush, LLP, where she works with her father, David Haberbush. She was also named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. In addition, she is actively involved with the Long Beach legal community. She has been a member of the Ball/Hunt/Schooley American Inn of Court since 2012 and served in various leadership roles within it throughout her time in the organization. She volunteers her time as a judge of local moot court competitions. She has also served on the LBBA Board of Governors from 2017-2019 and routinely volunteers with the LBBA Legal Clinic. Since 2021, Vanessa has been serving on the board of trustees for St. Mary Medical Foundation, which provides valuable medical services to Long Beach’s diverse community.
